April 1, 2025 “Serving Sharing Sending”
From the Pastor
Jesus died on the cross outside the city of Jerusalem. He was buried in a borrowed tomb. He rose triumphant from the grave. He is exalted at the right hand of God the Father. No one questions Jesus’ death and burial. There are those who question Jesus’ resurrection and ascension. They ask, “Where is the evidence?”
The evidence is found in the historical biblical record. The evidence is found in the eye witness accounts. The evidence is found in the lives of those early disciples who lived and died for their faith. The evidence is found in the hearts and minds and lives of today’s Christians. We say, “The evidence of the resurrection and ascension of Jesus is overwhelming.”
Easter Sunday is a day to appreciate the greatness of God. Easter Sunday is a day to celebrate a miracle. Easter Sunday is a day to give thanks for God’s redeeming love. Easter Sunday is a day to rejoice that Jesus is alive for all time. Easter Sunday is a day to witness to the world with our voices and our lives.

During the month of April we will be collecting items for the Baptist Children’s Homes Food Round-up. This is a very important ministry to help restock the pantries of the Children’s Homes across North Carolina. There will be a container in the foyer for your donations and a list of needed items will be in the bulletin on Sunday, April 6. Please make sure food expiration dates are as far off as possible. As well as items listed, gift cards to Walmart, Sam’s Club, Food Lion, Lowes, Ingles, and Piggly Wiggly will be very much appreciated. If you choose to donate a gift card, you can give it to Bobbie White. You donations are due by Sunday, April 27. Thank you so much for participating in this ministry.

Fellowship Meal
Join us for a wonderful Italian meal at 6:00 P.M. on April 13th! The menu will include beef tortellini casserole, chicken bow tie pasta, italian salad, garlic bread, tea, and dessert. Please sign the sheet by the front door so we know how many to plan for!
