THANK YOU: Thank you for your prayers, love and support in this very difficult time of grief in the sudden passing of dear Calvin. We are thankful for the cards, texts, visits, and the luncheon which was provided for our family. Your thoughtfulness in sending the beautiful dish garden with the “yellow bird” center piece touched my heart in a special way, at your remembrance of Calvin’s love for birds. Our family is blessed by your love and care, and I ask for your continued prayers in the days ahead.

QUESTION AND ANSWERING SESSION /CHURCH CONFEERENCE: Both the Q&A session on the 13th and the church conference on the 20th are postponed until further notice. This will allow more time for additional detail planning and addressing legal details.
APPRECIATION RECEPTION: Please join us on Sunday, September 27 at 3:00 PM to celebrate Pastor Tim and Jeanne and their 23 years of dedication to the Athens Drive Baptist Church Family. We look forward to seeing you as we take time to say, “thank you” and celebrate all they have done during their time with us here at ADBC.
WMU NEWS: Please join us Wednesday, September 16, at 7:00 P.M. for mission night. Our focus for September is the North Carolina Missions Offering (NCMO). This offering supports ministries such as disaster relief, mobile medical units, church planting, and associational missions efforts. Our theme for this year is “Living Sent,” based on John 20:21: “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” The statewide goal is $2.8 million, and our church goal is $1,000. We will be collecting this offering through the month of September.
Also, during September we will be collecting food for the State Fair carnival workers. These items will be used by the Raleigh Baptist Association to prepare meals for the workers every day. There will be a list of needed items in the bulletin on September 6 and a box in the foyer for your donations.
